Our Mission is to provide a place
where learning is the highest priority,
and where students learn skills that will enable them to be life-long learners. We believe that traditional language and cultural skills should be practiced and honored as students grow and learn

The “Blue Jay Choir”, traveled to Nome for their first “Region 1 Music Festival” on April 15th. The choir traveled with eleven girls and three adults. The staff and students of Nome-Beltz High School took very good care of us as well as the other five schools that attended. The girls learned a lot during the three-day event, and the memories will stay with them forever. The choir is extremely grateful to our many donors, especially the Coastal Region Village Fund. Without their support and donation of $3000.00, we would have not been able to attend the festival. It was an unforgettable experience!

Their fund raising efforts have included Basketball Tournaments, Dances, Sham-O-Grams, Cakewalks and Raffles. They have received great support from the village. They have been practicing for the Individual Performance on Friday April 16th, and the Group performance on Saturday April 17th, that will also include choirs and bands from Bethel, Dillingham, Kotzebue, Nome and Unalakleet.
